This person is my spouse. I can be available if I leave my job, but he will need to support me financially. Or I can keep working, but he will need to hire caregivers while I am out of the house. His doctors tell me I can no longer leave him home alone. His Power of attorney requires me to involve him in decision making as long as he is conscious.

My friends mom has it and we are trying to figure out what the chemical was that causes it. The doctors said it but we don’t remember. Real medical answers from people who actually know would be greatly appreciated.

My father who’s 70 is forgetful, he can’t count like he use to but he still carries a conversation, drives with no incident, still hunt and fish, makes jokes etc.

He went to the hospital for a routine knee operation and the doctors told our mother he has dementia! (he’s been sleep walking while at the hospital).

Anyway. We want a second opinion, not the diagnosis of a small town doctor treating cuts and bruises all day long.
