Debra P asked:
My mother is in late stages and just spent 10 days in the hospital for pnuemonia. She was completely mobile before the hospital and has been doing well since getting home 2 days ago. This morning she got up and was able to walk to the bathroom, and then walk to the kitchen (with small support from the caregiver). Then after breakfast, she would not support her weight and stand on one side. As the day went on, she was able to support less and less, and none by the end of the day. Any idea what might be the cause of this sudden inability to stand and walk?
I understand that late stages causes inability to walk, etc…. but can it happen so suddenly when it has been progressing slowly thus far?

her caregiver continually allows her to wander the neighborhood without supervision. i’ve caught her with our mail about 1/2 dozen times. this last time, its gone missing but the caregiver is saying they don’t have it. i feel for her situation but am upset that she is not being properly supervised and consider this neglect. now impactng our security. can i press charges for mail theft?
