why is it that googling “cannabis” and “alzheimers” doesn’t lead to any american news outlets?

C’mon, you haven’t heard of the “war on Drugs” in this country? Heaven forbid the government allows research, or even the publication of research that shows a medical use for cannabis. After all, it’s classified as Schedule 1, meaning “no medical use.” Allowing such would look a bit hypocritical now, wouldn’t it? Sad but true…
