There is currently no cure for Alzheimers. There is only treatment to slow it down. You can do certain task yourself to help slow it down too, such as mind games, reading, studying (anything to keep your mind active)

To help slow Alzheimers down a little more, you have to be cruel to be kind; by letting the person with Alzheimers carry out simple tasks for themselves, such as making something small to eat, cleaning around the house, choosing their own clothes and changing without help. If they are able to do these tasks without help, you should let them. It helps to keep their mind working. (Help them if help is needed)

Alzheimers is believed to be hereditary. It's believed that if one of your parents are diagnosed with Alzheimers there is a 1 in 2 chance you could develop Alzheimers.

We can only hope a cure will be discovered soon.
