If this is listed as a non profit non religious association I believe they have to file a report to the IRS as to where the money is spent and this report is supposed to be public information.
Not all non-profits are that effective. Some spend a huge amount of money on ads.
Probably very few dollars go to patients or a small % of their total receipts. Many non profit health and non health associations exist mainly for the persons working for or running the organization. This is true of the Red Cross and many others. They are nothing but financial scams that use your dollars by working on your heart or emotions. The best run organization and benefits people the most is the Salvation Army. About 95% of their money goes to the support of people and only 5% is spent to operate the organization.
