does anyone know what the percentage of inheriting alzheimers disease is if their mother has it.

I have a 93 year old neighbor who suffers from dementia and own a hand gun. He thinks people are stalking him, after him etc. We have young kids, 3 & 4, who play outside. We are concerned. This guy sleeps with his gun loaded and promises to shoot anyone who comes on his property.

My friends mom has it and we are trying to figure out what the chemical was that causes it. The doctors said it but we don’t remember. Real medical answers from people who actually know would be greatly appreciated.

My mom is a caregiver and she has a client that has dementia. The client was really…really…not herself as usual today. (i don’t know what word to describe it) My mom and I was outside and we saw that there was a full moon. My mom said so that’s why she was acting this way today. I got confused. She said when there is a full moon people with dementia act differently. She said it happens to all dementia people. I don’t understand how the moon affects her at all…HELP! THANkS!
